craft markets

My first craft market at the weekend.

Contemporary hand made jewellery made from precious metals and semi-precious gemstones, displayed with rough vintage fruit crates, linen mangle cloth and Edwardian photos. I find the old wood and cloth contrasts well with the sparkling metal and gems. It was great meeting people, hearing their responses to my work, and yes, making some sales. Hurrah! xx

  1. Well done! Looks really great. I particuarly like the old photos. I hope you sold enough to make it worthwhile - I know how much hard work goes into a stall! Jan xx

  8. You're good at this, aren't you! Fab stall - totally reflects your style and your jewellery. I love it. I really REALLY love all of the bashed-up, matte silver stuff that you do (sorry that I can't describe it more eloquently but I'm sure you know what I mean). I want that necklace in the last photo so bad it hurts!

  9. What a lovely display! Can tell you from experience - a thousand years ago - that display is nearly as important as the work. And the work is lovely, too.

I need to ask a flower question. Tomorrow is the big day - planting the first seeds. Do I need to put up the pea netting this fall? Will the plants get that tall this fall? or, do I just wait until early in the spring? thanks. xo
